Frequently Asked Questions
-
How much time should I anticipate for bridal hair?
Budget an hour for the bride and 30 minutes for bridal party guests.
-
How does booking work?
A 50% deposit and signed contract are required to hold your date. This deposit is non-refundable.
-
One of my Bridesmaids decided to drop out of hair, do I still need to pay?
Yes, I schedule based on the time needed to get everyone’s hair done in order to accommodate other events. Small changes make the difference between scheduling one or more events.
-
Why do you charge more for clip extensions for the bridesmaids?
It’s all time management, I budget about 30 minutes per bridesmaid. Curling and installing clip extensions add more time.
-
I won’t be there until the day before my wedding and won’t need a trial so do I get a discount?
No, I am very insistent on a trial. This is important for not only establishing a relationship with you, getting to know your specific hair, and also developing a game plan so I can be more efficient in making your Pinterest dreams come true. If you can’t do a trial I understand, but there is no discount.
-
What is included in a trial?
A one-hour session where we will chat about your hair, establish a game plan, and do a rough draft of your bridal hair. It’s all part of the experience, like trying on your wedding dress. (You wouldn’t wait until the wedding day to try on your dress for the first time would you?)
-
How big of a bridal party can you do?
Usually, my ideal number is 8, but I can do up to 10 without needing to hire an assistant. Of course, this is with a reasonable time allowance for getting ready.
-
Do you usually have an assistant or is it just you?
It is usually just me. I am very protective of my work. My brides like knowing they are getting my “look” when they hire me. If I bring on an assistant for larger parties it’s usually to help prep the hair and curl so then I can add my look and hold to the style.
-
Will you stay until I get ready and dressed incase there are any hair adjustments to be made?
I can stay, but this is for an extra charge and needs to be discussed when you book so I can plan ahead and we can add this to your contract.
-
How soon do you normally do a trial? Can it be done on a weekend?
Trials are hour-long appointments done in Bend. Ideally, they are usually done 4-6 weeks before your wedding. Weekends, especially during peak wedding season (May-October) might be unavailable. However, I do try to work with your schedule best I can. I can offer evening trials during the week. I will do my best to work with you and accommodate your situation.
MORE Frequently Asked Questions
-
How much time should we set aside for the groomsmen party?
I’ll need about 30 minutes to get set up, but I can do this without anyone present. Once i’m set up, budget 60-75 minutes for the groom and 30-60 minutes for each party guest. It will come down to communication during planning. (beard tailorings add time as well as performing full haircuts) It’s a great time to have your guys have breakfast delivered, turn on the tube and enjoy the complimentary bourbon and cigars while getting a truly unique barber experience.
-
Will I need a haircut before or is this be done as part of the service?
I am very insistent on getting a haircut no more than 1-2 weeks out from the big day. This is important for time management. I am detailing and cleaning everyone up but actual full-on haircuts should be done at least a few days in advance. I can do these at my barbershop prior to the big day. A benefit to this is getting to know you as I’ll be spending a bit of time with you and your guys on wedding day so it’s good to get acquainted.
-
What kind of space is needed?
I need enough room for the barber chair and to move freely around you. I bring a hot towel machine and a facial steamer as well as the traditional barber tools so a warm garage, a big spacious living room, a rec room, etc. would be great. Hard floors are recommended (please no carpet)
-
What if there isn't enough time in our schedule but we really want to have the service?
I can work with you to determine what aspects of my service you are okay with going without in order to save time.
I can also bring an assistant help speed things along at an additional cost.

I (groom) have to be ready for photos before you're scheduled to be done, how does this work?
I always prioritize the groom, followed by the order of whoever needs to be done next according to your wedding day timeline. This is where having a clear plan of who is getting what and who needs to be where when is so important to everything running like a well oiled machine.
